Hellooo :)
Well the day is here... im leaving for Africa!!! :) So much has led up to this that its almost unreal its actually happening. We're spending the day in London tomorrow for our longgg layover and will be arriving Tuesday :)
Please pray for me and my schoolmates while we are there... for safety, for health, and for provision. Its going to be emotionally intense over there on so many levels.

I wish you all the best in the coming months! The endless joy and enthusiasm that the african children have, especially with new people that are there to help, will overwhelm you with joy and a deeper connection to god and your appreciation for all the comforts that an american life brings.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, please be safe and on your guard, especially around the african men. Try your best to always be with a friend, preferably a male that you trust. This is not about being prejudiced or racist, it's about acknowledging that as a young white woman, you have a higher potential to become a target.
